SWEP, part of Dover and a world-leading supplier of brazed plate heat exchangers (BPHEs), is adding propylene and ethylene glycol as valid fluids to a range of models in the Liquid to Liquid Brazed & Fusion Bonded Plate Heat Exchangers Program (LLBF) of AHRI.
SWEP has been part of the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) certification program for water in the Liquid to Liquid Brazed & Fusion Bonded Plate Heat Exchangers Program (LLBF) for a number of years with several units certified under the LLBF program.* In 2021 SWEP was awarded the AHRI Certification Performance Award for three consecutive years of testing success.**
Products in the program undergo testing by independent laboratories contracted to AHRI and are evaluated using the appropriate industry standard. Certification includes testing for accuracy of the heat exchanger’s thermal performance and pressure drop ratings against SWEPs selection software (SWEP SSP) and the specifications set by AHRI.
SWEP is now adding propylene and ethylene glycol as valid fluids to a range of models in the LLBF program. Glycols are commonly used as fluids in applications like data center cooling, district heating, district cooling and other HVAC systems, where heat exchangers are key to system efficiency and safe performance under varying conditions.
