Recently, a group of employees from Dover’s Finance team spent an afternoon packing meals at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Schaumburg, IL.
Founded in 1987, FMSC is a non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically designed to assist in reversing and preventing undernutrition.
The Dover team members helped hand-pack rice, soy, dried vegetables and a blend of vitamins and minerals into bags that were then sealed, boxed and placed on pallets for shipping to FMSC partners working hard to reach children in need around the world. Throughout the event, volunteers packed a total of 89 boxes of food, which will provide over 19,200 meals to feed 52 children for a full year.
Additionally, a check on behalf of the Dover Foundation was presented for $5,000 to FMSC.
