As a way to give back around the holidays, a group of employees from Dover’s Finance team spent an afternoon packing meals at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Aurora, IL.
Founded in 1987, FMSC is a non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children.
The Dover team members helped hand-pack rice, soy, dried vegetables and a blend of vitamins and minerals into bags that were then sealed, boxed and placed on pallets for shipping to FMSC partners working hard to reach children in need around the world. Throughout the day, volunteers packed a total of 116 boxes of food, which will provide over 25,000 meals to feed 70 children for a full year.
Additionally, a check on behalf of the Dover Foundation was presented for $1,500 to FMSC at the conclusion of the event.
