This Summer, 60 employees from the Hamilton, Ohio, location of OPW, a Dover company, volunteered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that no child sleeps on the floor. Together, the team built 50 brand-new beds for children in their local community.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace provides beds, free of charge, to children ages 3 to 17 who are sleeping in unsafe or inadequate conditions. Each bed helps provide a child with a safe, comfortable place to rest and supports the organization's mission of delivering dignity and hope to families in need.
By donating their time and talents, OPW employees made a meaningful impact beyond the workplace, helping improve the lives of local children while demonstrating the company's ongoing commitment to strengthening the communities where its employees live and work.
Thanks to the generosity of OPW and a matching contribution from the Dover Foundation, a total donation of $10,000 was presented to the organization for this building initiative.
